The Faculty of Business Administration at City University organized a seminar on the green economy and its role in sustainable development. The session was presented by Ms. Rayan Murad and attended by Ms. Najat Menkara along with a number of students from the faculty.
During the seminar, Murad discussed the concept of the green economy, highlighting the importance of balancing economic growth with the protection of natural resources. She also emphasized the role of innovation in addressing environmental challenges and transforming them into promising investment opportunities.
She further pointed to the rapid global growth of this sector, noting that renewable energy is among the fastest-growing fields in terms of employment, with projections indicating the potential creation of millions of jobs by 2030.
The seminar concluded with presentations of mini-projects prepared by the students, showcasing their understanding of green economy concepts and their ability to turn them into practical and innovative ideas.
