Renewal of the Cooperation Agreement Between City University and the Koura Municipalities Union

Reaffirming its belief that higher education is a right for everyone, and underscoring the strong academic ties and close partnership between the Koura District and the city of Tripoli, City University has renewed its cooperation agreement with the Koura Municipalities Union.

The agreement was signed on the campus of City University by the University’s President, Dr. Walid Dagher, and the President of the Koura Municipalities Union, Mr. Malek Fares, in the presence of delegations from both sides.

Representing the Koura Municipalities Union at the signing ceremony were Mr. Michel El Helou, Mayor of Kfarsaroun; Mr. Elias El Najjar, Mayor of Dar Chmizzine; and Dr. Sonia El Khoury. Representing City University were Dr. Adel Mourad, Dr. Riyad Madani, Admiral Hosni Daher, Dr. Iman Al Baba, and Dr. Hiba El Sheikh.

The renewed agreement aims to further strengthen bilateral cooperation across a wide range of cultural, social, educational, and sports initiatives, serving the public interest and benefiting the people of Koura in particular and Northern Lebanon as a whole.

Under the renewed agreement, City University will continue to offer university scholarships to students from the Koura District through the Union and its member municipalities, reaffirming its commitment to empowering young people and expanding access to quality higher education in an academic environment that supports their ambitions and future success.
