Ramadan Iftar Honoring the Achievements of Alumni from the Faculty of Tourism at City University


City University Celebrates the Achievements of its Distinguished Graduates in Tourism and Travel
The Faculty of Tourism at City University organized a Ramadan Iftar to honor its alumni, celebrating their professional careers and remarkable achievements in the field of tourism and travel.
The gathering, held at the Via Mina Hotel, was attended by Dr. Iman Baba, Dean of the Faculty of Tourism, along with a number of the faculty’s alumni from various sectors, including Ms. Shirin Awad, a lecturer and administrator at City University; Hiba Merhi, Travel Booking and Ticketing Officer at a travel agency; Rana Hassan, Manager of Via Mina Hotel; Ayman Nabulsi, Head of the Visa Department at a travel agency; Mariam Basharat and Fatima Halab, both tourist guides and social media influencers; Zina Minshawi, Ticketing Department Officer at a travel agency; and Ms. Dima Maasarani, owner of a travel agency.
The event included honoring distinguished graduates who actively contributed to the revival of Lebanon’s tourism and travel sector. A presentation organized by outstanding graduate Ayman Nabulsi was also showcased, highlighting the graduates’ creativity and future aspirations.
At the beginning of the ceremony, Dr. Iman Baba, Dean of the Faculty, delivered a speech praising the graduates’ achievements and emphasizing the faculty’s commitment to staying connected with them and supporting them in their professional journeys. She also expressed her belief in their critical role in building a brighter future for Lebanon’s tourism and travel sector.
Dr. Baba took care to express her gratitude and appreciation to everyone who contributed to their educational journey, from teachers and professors to friends and family. She stressed that their support and encouragement played a significant role in their accomplishments and motivated them to achieve their goals. Dr. Iman Baba then distributed commemorative gifts to the graduates in a celebratory atmosphere, followed by the cutting of a cake to mark this special occasion.
