Nutrition Students at City University Conduct Awareness Campaigns on Healthy Eating
As part of its commitment to social responsibility and its efforts to connect academic learning with practical field experience, the Nutrition students at the Faculty of Public Health at City University conducted a series of educational and awareness campaigns promoting healthy nutrition. The campaigns were carried out as part of the “Community Nutrition” course under the supervision of Ms. Jouel Jerges.
The campaigns took place at the summer camp of Al-Bayan Islamic School and at the Al-Nuzha Neighborhood Center. The students provided practical guidance aimed at promoting healthier daily lifestyles. Topics included understanding food labels, checking calorie content before choosing food, the importance of breakfast and healthy snacks, as well as information about healthy foods, their nutritional components, and their impact on overall health.
These initiatives reflect City University’s leading role in preparing qualified professionals who can apply their academic knowledge to serve the community, while contributing to greater health awareness and encouraging healthier dietary practices.
