City University, represented by its President, Dr. Walid Dagher, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Lebanese Public Secondary School Teachers’ Association, represented at the signing ceremony by its President, Mr. Jamal Al Omar.

Representing City University at the ceremony were Dr. Adel Mourad, Admiral Hosni Daher, Dr. Iman Al Baba, Dr. Hiba Al Sheikh, Dr. Rayan Najjar, and Mr. Maher Shaarani, Head of the Educational Office of the Karama Movement. Representing the Lebanese Public Secondary School Teachers’ Association were Dr. Hossam Zreika, Principal of Miniyeh Public Secondary School and Secretary of the Association’s North Branch, and Mr. Walid Al Haffar, Principal of Al Murabbi Hassan Al Hujjah Secondary School and a member of the Association’s Administrative Board.

The MoU aims to provide tuition benefits and financial scholarships for the children and family members of teachers who are active members of the Lebanese Public Secondary School Teachers’ Association, enabling them to pursue their university education in a distinguished academic environment under affordable and flexible terms that take into account the current economic challenges. As part of this initiative, City University has introduced a fixed annual tuition rate for the academic programs covered by the agreement, helping to ease the financial burden on students and their families. The University will also offer an additional discount on English language courses, when required, based on the results of a placement test.

Both parties emphasized that this partnership reflects their shared commitment to strengthening cooperation between educational institutions and supporting students in achieving academic and professional success. They noted that the agreement represents a meaningful model of collaboration between higher education institutions and educational organizations, expanding access to quality education while reinforcing the continuity of Lebanon’s educational mission.
