The President of City University, Dr. Walid Dagher, paid an official visit to the Ministry of Education and Higher Education in Beirut, leading a university delegation to congratulate Dr. Mazen Al-Khatib at his office on his appointment as the permanent Director General of Higher Education.

Accompanying Dr. Dagher were Dr. Saadallah Halimi, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities; Dr. Mazen Hzeim, Head of the Department of Informatics; Dr. Ranim El Sayed, Assistant to the University President for Advisory, Administrative, and Academic Affairs; and Mr. Abdel Ghani Raad, Head of the University’s Colloquium and Government Equivalency Department.

During the meeting, Dr. Walid Dagher congratulated Dr. Al-Khatib on assuming his new responsibilities, noting that the appointment reflects the confidence placed in Lebanon’s distinguished academic leaders. He praised Dr. Al-Khatib’s pivotal role in advancing higher education, overseeing university affairs, and contributing to the development and quality enhancement of Lebanon’s higher education sector.

At the conclusion of the visit, Dr. Dagher presented Dr. Al-Khatib with a commemorative shield on behalf of City University, wishing him continued success in his new role. He also emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation between universities and public institutions in support of the continued advancement of higher education in Lebanon.
