City University Holds Chess and Backgammon Tournament


City University concluded its Christmas and New Year’s internal tournament in chess and backgammon with the participation of 36 players. The tournament was held at the sports club over a period of two weeks.

The results were as follows:

Chess:

  • First place: Reda Dakmak
  • Second place: Ahmed Al-Jundi

Backgammon:

  • First place: Ahmed Al-Ali
  • Second place: Fouad Al-Halaw

At the conclusion of the tournament, Dr. Maya Qassir, Head of the Finance Department, Dr. Saadullah Halimi, Chairman of the Academic Council, Dr. Raneem Al-Sayed, Director of the Office of Research and Internal Audit, Mr. Dany Hariki, Director of Student Affairs, and Mr. Diaa Anton, Sports Officer, presented the awards to the winners. They wished everyone a happy holiday season and expressed their hope that the new year will bring good and peace to all.
