The Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology at City University Organizes a Workshop on Network Monitoring and Cybersecurity to Enhance Students’ Skills
As part of its commitment to strengthening students’ practical knowledge and keeping pace with rapid developments in technology and cybersecurity, the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology, in collaboration with the IEEE Student Branch at City University, organized an interactive technical workshop entitled “Network Monitoring vs. Cybersecurity Monitoring.”
The workshop was delivered by Mr. Jamal Tiftafeh, an information technology and cybersecurity specialist, who presented advanced theoretical and practical content on technical monitoring concepts. The session was enriched with hands-on demonstrations and interactive discussions that highlighted the latest monitoring frameworks and best professional practices in the field.
The workshop witnessed strong student engagement, as participants gained valuable practical insights into system behavior analysis, anomaly detection, and enhancing situational awareness in digital environments.
