The Faculty of Business Administration at City University Organizes a Workshop on Empowering Young Entrepreneurs with Engineer Christopher Daccache
The Faculty of Business Administration organized a workshop titled “Empowering Young Entrepreneurs”, led by Engineer Christopher Daccache, an expert in innovation and business development, with the attendance of Mrs. Najat Mankara and broad participation from students.
Engineer Daccache opened the workshop by guiding students on the importance of thinking about their future ambitions and setting clear goals. He shared his personal journey, which began at the age of eighteen, when he sought to serve the environment and community through his first project focused on recycling and cleaning the environment from waste, despite the challenges he faced.
During the workshop, Daccache showcased his innovative solar-powered boat, constructed entirely from recycled materials and equipped with an automated transport system to collect plastic from the water and store it in an internal container. When the container is full, electronic sensors send signals via communication devices to the control room for the contents to be emptied and sent for recycling. He also noted that the project has expanded to include four additional boats working to clean rivers.
Daccache also spoke about another invention: an intelligent waste-sorting machine that can be installed in universities. This machine not only manages waste but also serves as an interactive platform that allows students to ask questions and communicate with it. Additionally, the machine rewards students with points that can be used to fund educational opportunities, such as covering a year’s tuition fees for a student.
During the session, Daccache conducted a hands-on exercise to encourage students to explore their skills and passions and think about how to transform these into career opportunities that generate income. The aim was to empower students to connect their skills and interests with career paths that lead to sustainable success.
Daccache concluded the workshop with an inspiring message, emphasizing that self-belief and perseverance are the keys to achieving dreams and success, regardless of the circumstances. His experience serves as a living example for youth striving for change and a testament to how dreams can become reality when paired with creativity and hard work.
