The Faculty of Business Administration at City University Organizes a Lecture on the Role of Youth in Shaping Their Future

The Faculty of Business Administration at City University organized a lecture titled “From Learning to Leadership: How Young People Shape Their Future with Their Own Hands,” delivered by Dr. Moetaz Soubjaki, in the presence of Dr. Hamdi Dernaika and Ms. Najat Menkara, along with students from the faculty.

The lecture addressed the vital role of youth in a rapidly changing world. The speaker emphasized that education alone is no longer sufficient; learning must be translated into action, ambition into impact, and potential into leadership. He noted that the future is built through determination and continuous growth.

Dr. Soubjaki highlighted four main pillars, beginning with “Mindset Before Skill.” He stressed that success starts with the right mindset, personal responsibility, and competence before certificates and titles. A sound mindset, combined with passion and patience, he explained, drives discipline, resilience, and self-confidence, enabling individuals to create opportunities rather than wait for them. He then moved on to “From Knowledge to Practice,” underscoring the importance of turning what young people learn into real value through projects, initiatives, ideas, or solutions that leave a tangible impact on the ground.

The speaker added that the goal today is no longer merely to secure a job, but to create value, build credibility, and become a person of influence. True impact, he explained, stems from commitment, creativity, and solving problems that matter to society.

The lecture concluded with the theme of “Designing One’s Personal Path,” where Dr. Sobajaki clarified that success is not a matter of chance but the result of planning. He encouraged young people to take control of their choices, embrace calculated risks, and define their long-term direction instead of waiting for opportunities to come their way.
