In a move that reflects City University’s commitment to serving the local community and strengthening partnerships between the academic sector and development institutions, a cooperation agreement was signed between City University and the Dreib Al-Awsat Municipalities Union.

The agreement was signed by the University President, Dr. Walid Dagher, and the President of the Dreib Al-Awsat Municipalities Union, Sheikh Alaa Abdel Wahid, in the presence of the deans of the faculties and members of the Municipalities Union. Both parties agreed to enhance frameworks for joint cooperation and to make optimal use of available resources in a way that serves the public interest and contributes to the development of the local community.

The agreement aims to provide university scholarships for students, develop joint training programs and workshops, and launch applied development and consultancy projects in the field of sustainable development. It also includes organizing student activities, visits, and training courses within the Union’s jurisdiction, as well as holding joint cultural, environmental, and health-related initiatives.

Following the signing ceremony, the delegation toured the university campus, where they were introduced to its facilities and academic programs. Attendees expressed their admiration for the advanced infrastructure and the distinguished educational opportunities offered to students. The meeting concluded with a luncheon bringing together both parties.
