The President of the Karama Movement, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of City University (formerly Al-Manar), MP Fayssal Karami, has appointed Dr. Walid Dagher as President of the University, succeeding Dr. Edgar Rizk, and the transition ceremony took place between the predecessor President Rizk and his successor Dagher on the university campus in the presence of the deans of faculties and heads of departments.

MP Karami thanked Dr. Edgar Rizk for his “efforts and dedication to the development of City University, especially in the compelling and exceptional circumstances that Lebanon has gone through since 2019,” and wished him every success in all his future endeavors.
MP Karami also welcomed the new President Dagher to the City University family, wishing him success in his academic and educational mission and in his new administrative duties.
Dr Dagher’s appointment will be confirmed by the Board of Trustees at the end of this month and he will become officially president of City University.
