Jihad Al-Khair Raises Lebanon’s Name High at the KWF World Championship in Riyadh
Lebanese champion Jihad Al-Khair, a native of the city of Minieh, has added a new sporting achievement to Lebanon’s record after securing third place at the KWF World Championship for professionals in the under-80 kg category. The tournament was held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, from December 10 to 14, with participation from 33 countries from around the world.
Al-Khair is considered one of the most promising rising figures in martial arts. He is a seven-time consecutive Lebanese and Arab champion, born in 2003, and represents Al-Jawareh Sports Club under the supervision of coach Nour Assoum.
Throughout the championship, the Lebanese athlete delivered an impressive and honorable performance, achieving strong victories over champions from Pakistan, Iraq, and Russia, before concluding his participation by stepping onto the global podium.
His performance received special praise from the Polish Head of Medical Staff of the organization, who highlighted Al-Khair’s high level of skill, physical strength, and professionalism, affirming that he has a bright future on the international stage.
In addition to his distinguished athletic career, Jihad Al-Khair continues his academic journey as a student at City University, majoring in Biomedical Equipment Engineering. He stands as a role model for balancing academic excellence with athletic success, reflecting a positive and inspiring image of ambitious Lebanese youth.
