Interactive Seminar at City University on Leveraging Artificial Intelligence to Advance Students’ Career Paths

The Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology at City University, in collaboration with the IEEE Student Branch, organized a distinguished interactive seminar titled “Mission Impossible: Finding Jobs Using AI.” The event was part of the faculty’s ongoing efforts to strengthen students’ skills and prepare them for the demands of today’s job market.

The session highlighted the rapidly expanding role of artificial intelligence in transforming job search processes, application methods, and overall career development. It also explored how students can strategically and responsibly leverage these modern technologies to refine their skills, strengthen their professional presence, and stand out in an increasingly competitive and fast-evolving labor market.

The seminar hosted Ms. Reina Kannawati (Reina CVs), a specialist in career guidance and personal branding, who delivered a comprehensive and practical presentation. She addressed key topics such as developing CVs aligned with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), building a strong and professional presence on LinkedIn, and crafting a clear personal brand that reflects students’ skills and professional values. The session further emphasized the importance of using AI tools in a smart and ethical manner throughout the job search journey, positioning them as supportive tools that enhance success while preserving authenticity and professional identity.

The seminar was marked by its interactive nature and rich content, featuring real-life examples and actionable advice that helped students from various disciplines better understand how to present themselves with confidence and professionalism, and how to access career opportunities aligned with their aspirations and competencies.
