From Theory to Practice: City University Tourism Students Visit Celena Restaurant

As part of the practical activities within their academic program, the Faculty of Tourism at City University organized a visit to “Celena” restaurant for students enrolled in the Food and Beverage Management course. The visit was conducted under the supervision of Dean Dr. Iman Baba and accompanied by instructor Ms. Amira Mbayyed.

During the visit, the students were warmly welcomed by the restaurant management and guided on a tour by the head chef, who walked them through the various stages of operation—from kitchen preparation to customer service. They were introduced to an integrated management model aligned with global standards, featuring rigorous quality control systems that ensure food safety and continuous auditing to maintain high service levels. Students also explored internal planning and organizational strategies, as well as the role of technology in enhancing performance, particularly in administration and marketing.

In conclusion, this experience served as a unique educational milestone, combining hands-on practice with academic learning. It offered students a valuable opportunity to develop professional skills and enrich their theoretical knowledge through direct interaction with a real-world working environment.
