The Faculty of Tourism at City University continues to bridge theoretical learning with practical experience by organizing an enchanting field trip to the National Museum in Beirut and the Chouf region. The trip was part of the “Discover Lebanon” course, under the supervision of the Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Iman Baba, and accompanied by Dr. Rasha Sultan.
The tour began with a visit to the National Museum in Beirut, where students explored a collection of artifacts that reflect key moments in Lebanon’s rich and ancient history.
From Beirut to the Chouf Mountains, the students continued their journey in the town of Deir El Qamar, strolling through its charming alleys and historic buildings, which speak volumes of Lebanon’s cultural heritage. The visit offered a valuable opportunity to discover the region’s architectural and natural treasures, deepening the students’ understanding of the tourism potential in Lebanon’s mountainous areas.
A major highlight of the tour was the visit to Beiteddine Palace, where students enjoyed an informative tour of its magnificent halls, learning about its unique architectural features and its historical significance in a pivotal era of Lebanese history.
