Graduation Requirements

Requirements for the BArch degree
  1. Completion of a total of 168 credit hours divided as follows:
    1. University Requirements  (15 cr.)
    2. Faculty Requirements (23 cr. of Art and Design Foundation courses) plus 3 cr. of English: (ENG 202)  26 cr.
    3. Major Requirements      (103 cr.)
    4. FAD Major Electives (6 courses – 18 cr.)
    5. Free Electives (2 courses – 6 cr.)
  2. Obtaining C (70) or above in all courses of 4 credits or more, which are normally design studios offered once a term starting from Term 2 and including Final Project Design. Obtaining D (60) or above in all other courses of 3 or less credits.
  3. Obtaining a minimum overall GPA of 2.0.

Requirements for the BFA degree

  1. Completion of a total of 103 credit hours divided as follows:
    1. University Requirements (15 cr.)
    2. Faculty Requirements: (Art and Design Foundation courses plus 3 cr. of English: ENGL 202)
    3. Major Requirements: varies
    4. FAD Major Electives: (3 courses – 9 cr.)
    5. Free Electives (1 course – 3 cr.)
  2. Obtaining C (70) or above in all courses of 4 credits or more, which are normally design studios offered once a term starting from Term 2 and including Final Project Design. Obtaining D (60) or above in all other courses of 3 or less credits.
  3. Obtaining a minimum overall GPA of 2.0.
