Cooperation Agreement Between City University and the Federation of Municipalities of Koura

In line with its belief that “university education is for everyone”—and recognizing that Koura and Tripoli together form two vital lungs of one educational body, with Koura serving as a natural extension of Tripoli—City University signed a cooperation agreement with the Federation of Municipalities of Koura.

The agreement was signed by Dr. Walid Dagher, President of City University, and Engineer Malek Fares, President of the Federation of Municipalities of Koura, in the presence of the university’s deans and members of the federation.

The agreement seeks to strengthen collaboration across cultural, social, educational, and sports fields, serving the public interest and benefitting the community of Koura in particular, as well as northern Lebanon and the country as a whole.

As part of this partnership, City University will provide scholarships to students from the Koura region through the federation and municipalities, underscoring its commitment to empowering youth and creating opportunities for them to pursue higher education in an academic institution that meets their aspirations.

Following the signing, the delegation toured the university campus, visiting its various facilities and exploring its academic programs. The deans presented insights into the university’s curricula and recent developments, while the guests expressed their appreciation for the advanced resources and promising educational opportunities available to students.
