City University’s Faculty of Public Health seeks academic excellence in the field of nursing through the Nursing Simulation Lab
The Faculty of Public Health at City University celebrated the opening of the Nursing Simulation Lab in the presence of the President of City University, Dr. Edgar Rizk, and prominent figures from various political and trade union fields, as well as representatives of educational institutions, hospitals and health centers.
The ceremony began with the Lebanese national anthem and the anthem of the university, after which Dr. Riad Madani, Dean of the Faculty of Public Health, was introduced by Ms. Raneem Nafea, the host of the ceremony.
In his speech, Dr. Madani emphasized the Faculty’s commitment to academic excellence and achieving international standards in the field of nursing. He explained that the new laboratory will contribute to linking theoretical knowledge with practical application, allowing students to gain the necessary expertise in a realistic environment that simulates the actual work environment in hospitals.
Dr. Madani stressed his commitment to graduating qualified nursing cadres who are highly competent and able to provide excellent health care.
In his speech, Dr. Najeeb Haddad, academic advisor to Catalyst training lab, stressed that academic accreditation is an important element in ensuring the quality of nursing programs, which has many benefits, including: Ensuring the quality of education, enhancing the employability of graduates, and developing the skills of faculty members.
During the tour of the lab, Mr. Hashim Ajam, Academic Coordinator at the Department of Nursing, pointed out that the lab represents a qualitative leap in the field of nursing. He explained that the new nursing simulation lab at City University is equipped with the latest simulation technologies, including artificial intelligence, advanced manikins, and realistic medical scenario programs, which enable students to experience real medical situations, which contributes to improving their practical skills and enhancing the quality of health care they will provide to patients in the future.
In conclusion, the opening of this lab is an important milestone that contributes to enhancing education in Lebanon and developing the skills of nursing students, signaling a promising future for the country’s healthcare sector.
