City University’s Faculty of Business Administration hosts international trainer Dr. Khalil Khalil in a workshop titled “Building Your Career with Work Ethics”
As part of its efforts to enhance the skills of its students and prepare them for a successful career, the Faculty of Business Administration at City University organized a workshop entitled “Building Your Career with Work Ethics”, which was conducted by Dr. Khalil Khalil, an international trainer specialized in skills development, in the presence of the University President Dr. Walid Dagher and University Professor Ms. Najat Mankara.
During the workshop, Dr. Khalil focused on the pivotal role of ethical values in achieving sustainable professional success, stressing that a successful manager is not only one who possesses managerial skills, but also one who is keen to build a fair and transparent work environment that promotes the spirit of cooperation and appreciates the efforts of individuals, and must possess effective communication skills to convey and promote ethical values among employees.
The workshop also addressed the role of the manager in rewarding positive behavior and punishing the unethical actions of the employee to ensure a safe and supportive work environment free from bullying. He also emphasized that ethical competition is the key to success, noting that commitment and discipline protect individuals from deviating from ethical principles.
Dr. Khalil also highlighted the importance of integrity as a core value in professional and personal life and cited the Karami family as a role model for integrity, praising their long history of setting a clean and corruption-free political example from 1943 until today.
The trainer also discussed the importance of maintaining ethical values in professional relationships, such as avoiding negative talk, respecting the confidentiality of information, and pointed out that when an employee wants to leave work for any reason, it is necessary to have a professional dialogue with the owner of the organization and discuss the reasons transparently to ensure that the relationship is ended in a way that maintains mutual respect.
At the end of the session, Dr. Khalil called for setting clear standards that protect the rights of employees and promote a work environment based on integrity and respect, noting that these values enhance the reputation of the organization and ensure its continuity. The students expressed their gratitude for his inspiring insights and practical advice that will contribute to their future careers.
