City University Signs Two Cooperation Protocols with the Federations of Municipalities of Dinnieh and Jurd Dinnieh

Believing in the vital role of universities in serving the local community and committed to expanding educational opportunities for youth, City University, under the initiative and patronage of its Board of Trustees Chairman, MP Faisal Karami, signed two cooperation protocols. The agreements were signed by University President Dr. Walid Dagher with Mr. Mostafa Abdelsalam Saadeh, President of the Federation of Municipalities of Dinnieh, and Mr. Tarek Al-Shafshaq, President of the Federation of Municipalities of Jurd Dinnieh. The signing ceremony was attended by the university’s deans as well as presidents and members of more than 29 municipalities representing the federations.

The protocols aim to strengthen collaboration between the university and the municipalities in academic, social, and cultural fields. Key provisions include: offering university scholarships to students from Dinnieh, designing joint training programs and workshops to serve the local community, launching developmental and consulting projects in sustainable development, organizing student activities, visits, and courses within the municipalities, and holding cultural, environmental, and health-related initiatives.

Following the signing ceremony, the delegation toured the university campus, where they were introduced to its facilities and academic programs. The visitors expressed their admiration for the university’s advanced resources and the unique educational opportunities it provides to its students.

As a gesture of appreciation, MP Faisal Karami, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, hosted a dinner in the evening in honor of the presidents of the municipal federations and local municipalities. The event was marked by an atmosphere of warmth and mutual respect, reaffirming the strong partnership and spirit of constructive cooperation between the university and the local community in serving the people of the region.
