City University and WAY Association Organize Training Workshop to enhance students’ group Problem-Solving Skills

The workshop supported educational intiatives for empowering youth by developing students’ creative thinking and problem-solving skills, while promoting the values of collaboration and teamwork to help build a healthier and more stable society.

Diplomatic and prominent figures from various fields attended the workshop, adding a formal tone and moral support to the youth’s efforts in enhancing their skills. Among the attendees were: Dr. Fadi Al Jamal, Chairman of the Board of WAY Association; Mr. Julius Kluepfel, Political Affairs Officer at the German Embassy; Ms. Iris Schoenauer, Administrative Director at the German Embassy; in addition to Mr. Ziad Al Jamal, Project Coordinator; Ms. Wissal Sabouneh, Training Coordinator; and Mr. Fadi Abi Allam, President of the Permanent Peace Movement.

Representing City University were University President Dr. Walid Dagher and Ms. Najat Minkara, along with a wide participation of students.

It is worth noting that the training coordinator, Ms. Wissal Sabouneh, supervised the preparation of a group of students from the Lebanese University, who in turn conducted a comprehensive training session for City University students. These students led the lecture and organized a practical workshop, dividing the participants into working groups to discuss real-life problems and propose innovative solutions. This significantly enhanced their capacity to collaborate and engage within a constructive and stable environment. The activities effectively contributed to strengthening students’ analytical and critical thinking skills, in addition to fostering team spirit and interaction.

Ultimately, this initiative falls within the broader objective of both City University and WAY Association to empower youth, amplify their voices to decision-makers, and support the development of a safer and more stable society by encouraging creative thinking and proactive solutions to community challenges.

At the end of the workshop, University President Dr. Walid Dagher, presented an honorary shield on behalf of the university to Dr. Fadi Al Jamal.
