City University and Forward MENA Sign a Cooperation Agreement

As part of its ongoing efforts to empower students and prepare them for the demands of the job market, City University has signed a cooperation agreement with Forward MENA through the Nammiskills platform — a specialized initiative for developing digital and professional skills.
This platform is implemented and managed by Forward MENA with the support of UNICEF and in partnership with the World Bank, under the “Skills for Lebanon” initiative, and funded by the “Afaq” program of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
The partnership aims to equip students and graduates with the tools and expertise needed to build a promising professional future.

The signing ceremony was attended by Dr. Walid Dagher, President of City University, Mr. Marwan Atallah, Executive Director at Forward MENA, Ms. Hiba Obeid, Project Manager, and Ms. Tamara Snow, Training and Communications Coordinator.

This agreement seeks to organize training programs that grant participants internationally recognized certificates from leading institutions such as Microsoft, AWS, and LinkedIn. The initiative offers City University students and all interested individuals in North Lebanon the opportunity to acquire advanced digital skills that enhance their competitiveness in both local and global job markets.

Ms. Shireen Awad, Recruitment Manager, played a key role in coordinating and overseeing this collaboration to ensure it serves the best interests of the students and strengthens their readiness for professional careers.

In conclusion, this partnership reflects City University’s commitment to providing a holistic educational environment that goes beyond academic knowledge. It emphasizes developing the practical and digital skills required by the modern job market, empowering its students to confidently embark on a bright and successful professional journey.
